We are a new company built on a 29-year Group track record, hiring trades and supervisors across London and the South East. Small team, broad scope, direct access to the people who run the business. If you want your work to matter from day one, we should talk.
AMPM Building Services launched in 2026 as part of the AMPM Group, drawing on the 29-year record of our sister company Gemini AMPM. That combination is unusual: the pace and openness of a new business, backed by the systems, supply chain and delivery experience of a group that has been doing this work since the nineties.
Being small is a feature, not an apology. You will not disappear into a department. You will work across our four service lines — MEPH, commercial fit-out, fabric and envelope, and groundworks — rather than repeating one narrow task, and you will deal directly with the leadership team, not through layers of management.
We are honest about what that means: the team is small, the scope is broad, and there is more variety and responsibility here than you would find at a larger contractor. For the right person, that is exactly the point.
Development here runs through the AMPM Academy, the Group's training arm. The Academy ladder gives every trade a named path: Apprentice, Mentor, Practitioner, Master. It is a structure for progression, not a poster on a wall — each rung reflects growing competence, responsibility and the ability to bring others on.
Apprentices learn the trade under supervision. Mentors have proven their own work and help train the next intake. Practitioners run their discipline day to day. Masters set the standard for the company and lead the hardest work.
Wherever you join the ladder, the expectation is the same: keep learning, and help the people behind you climb.
We recruit across all four service lines, plus the planned and reactive maintenance operation that sits behind them. If your trade is on this list — or close to it — we want to hear from you.
We hold ourselves to a plain standard: competent people, working safely, saying so when something is not right.
You will need demonstrable competence in your trade — an industry competence card, such as CSCS, appropriate to your role, and the qualifications your discipline requires. We work to recognised standards as our method: BS 7671 for electrical work, CIBSE guidance for building services, SFG20 for maintenance, CDM 2015 on every project.
Safety comes first, without exception. We operate a no-detriment stop-work culture: if you believe work is unsafe, you stop it, and you will not be penalised for doing so. We expect you to use that authority, and to look out for the people around you as carefully as you look after yourself.
There is no portal and no application form. Email [email protected] with your CV and a few lines on what you do — your trade, your experience, and what you are looking for.
We are open to speculative applications. If your discipline is not listed above but you think you would fit, get in touch anyway; a small, growing company hires good people when it finds them, not only when a vacancy appears.
We are based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, and work across London and the South East — Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire and Berkshire. If you have a question before applying, call us on 0330 043 0080.
