Electrical

Commercial Electrical Contractor in London

Commercial electrical installation, testing and remedials across London, designed and certified to BS 7671, delivered in occupied buildings on the timetable the occupier and the borough will allow: nights, weekends and short shutdowns planned to the hour.

In London

One team,
county-wide.

Electrical work in London is shaped by the buildings and the rules around them. Occupied offices where a shutdown has to be agreed weeks ahead and finished before the first tenant arrives. Listed and older buildings where containment routes are a negotiation. Residential blocks with hundreds of landlord and tenant circuits. Section 61 noise consents that decide when core drilling can happen. And a supply network where a new incomer means a UK Power Networks application and a lead time longer than the fit-out. We design, install, test and certify electrical installations for main contractors, landlords, occupiers and FM providers: distribution and sub-mains, small power and lighting, emergency lighting, data containment, EV charging and the remedial work that follows an EICR. The electricians are qualified and the certification is complete, so the O&M and the compliance file are right first time.

FAQs

Your questions,
answered.

Can you work in an occupied office without disrupting the tenants?

That is the standard London job. Shutdowns are agreed with the landlord and tenants in advance and kept short, noisy work is scheduled out of hours under the borough's consent where one is needed, temporary supplies keep critical loads live, and every shift ends with the floor handed back clean and safe. The programme is built around the occupier's calendar, not ours.

Are you NICEIC registered?

AMPM Building Services' own NICEIC or NAPIT registration is in progress. Every installation is designed, installed and certified to BS 7671 by qualified electricians, with the full set of inspection and test certificates. Accreditations at group level are held by our sister company Gemini AMPM, and we set out the position plainly in any PQQ.

Do you carry out EICRs across a portfolio?

Yes. We programme fixed-wire testing across a portfolio of occupied buildings, issue the reports, and price the C1, C2 and FI remedials from the report so the duty holder can see the whole position and the cost of closing it in one document.

How do you handle a new supply or an upgrade?

Early. We assess the incoming supply and the distribution at survey, and where a UK Power Networks application is needed we start it at the beginning because the network lead time, not the installation, sets the programme.
